Shane Watson and Michael Hussey helped Australia recover from a perilous 3 for 2 in a dramatic opening session in the second Ashes Test at the Adelaide Oval.
After winning the toss, Australia failed to make the most of favourable batting conditions, spectacularly losing Simon Katich, Ricky Ponting and Michael Clarke in the first 13 deliveries of the Test match.
But the unbeaten Watson (50) and Hussey (36) set about digging their side out of trouble in aggressive fashion, improving the hosts to 3 for 94 at lunch.

Captain Ricky Ponting then strode to the crease in his 150th Test match, only the fourth player in history to reach the feat, but edged a lovely away swinger by James Anderson which was well held by Graeme Swann at second slip.
The struggling Michael Clarke, averaging 102.5 at the Adelaide Oval coming into the match, followed his skipper to the pavilion in exact fashion for 2 with the first ball of Anderson's next over.

The remarkable opening hour continued Golden Goose Sneakers Sale as Watson and Hussey, fresh of his tremendous 195 in the first innings in Brisbane, ignored the scoreboard and took to the English attack with some positive strokeplay.
